jamest has be furiously running polls across at RatSkep to gather as much scientific... I mean, objective data as possible to support the case for an appeal against your banning. Unfortunately, the first two attempts have been thwarted somewhat, so we might be looking at a third poll to gauge whether or not members thought the decision to ban you was correct.

Anyway, just thought you'd like to know.

There should be a secondary poll objecting to the lack of sanction for the abuse I received by hackenslash. Seriously, he had a meltdown and refused to stop. Yet, nothing happened. He's OG--the protected class.

Someone mentioned in another thread that he's suspended, apparently.

Does anyone have an understanding concerning the specifics of my ban--why they did it? Prima facie, it looks like I just offended the sensibilities of favoured members.

I'm on the fence about your ban. I'm not going to miss you but damn. This all seems a little arbitrary and too damned permanent. Think I'll go back to jimmy's poll and change my vote again.

But hell. If I do start missing you I can pop over here and have you ignore any valid points I make against your beliefs.

Hackenslash received a month's suspension for his behavior. Several others received warnings.

I can't say that I am disappointed to see you banned, I think you had said everything you were ever going to say and had simply started repeating yourself. Perhaps if you had put aside your defender of the faith act once in a while, it might have gone better.

Welcome anyway. And do tell how you manage to reconcile such a sustained history of child-abuse and covering up child-abuse with the professed doctrines of teh catlick church... for starters.

What's to reconcile? If there is one such sustenance, then it is anti-Catholic and immoral.

It's just how the Irish pronounce catholic - nothing more than that.

SO, if child abuse is immoral, how come there is nothing in the bible prohibiting it? While, on the contrary, there IS a dictat to stone disobedient children to death? Is the bible wrong?

Child loving is perfectly normal and that's why it's not only not prohibited, but downright encouraged ("Let the little children come to me" and the like)

You should change your vote. They didn't tell me to stop any sort of behavior. In the bully thread, the first time they locked it, they warned that virphen fellow, but not me. I figured that was a sign that I was inside the FUA. Next thing I know, I'm banned, without warning or justification.

If the mods asked for me to leave the bully thread alone or apologize, I would have. But they didn't.
